Caleb's first Easter

What a fantastic weekend we had!  We went to Georgia to spend Easter with our Georgia family and Gary's dad flew in from Nebraska to meet his newest grandson and great grandson!

Grandpa meeting his newest Great grandson, Noah

We spent Friday night at a Good Friday contemplation and celebration of the Cross with Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, and Louie Giglio.  It was awesome to come together with 12,000 people and celebrate the Cross!  What a way to start our Easter weekend.   The following is the causes that Louie and Chris wanted to support the night of the concert.  This excerpt is from their blog:
Our goal for the night: to restart five Compassion projects for children and babies (touching over 2000 children) at a cost of $44,225, provide thirty semi-permanent shelters through SP (each housing up to 10 people) at a cost of $30,000 and give $10,000 to help rehabilitate wells damaged in the earthquake through Living Water (the two guys pictured above–Cort and Christian–just completed a 2700 bike ride from Santa Monica, CA to Savannah, GA to raise money for this cause)—for a grand total of $84,225!

We’re happy to say that Cort and Christian’s check is GOOD as we gave $189,469 on the night and will now be able to double each goal! What a great way to celebrate the price Christ has paid for us as we reach in turn to touch the lives of others in His name.
Can you say Yippee Jesus?  They doubled the goal they had for the night!

We spent Saturday just enjoying being together with our family.  We had fun snuggling with Noah and everyone had fun getting to know Caleb.  The kids also had fun coloring Easter eggs.

We spent Sunday morning at church.  Again it was great to worship and celebrate Easter with family.  I almost had to pinch myself during church because I couldn't believe that Caleb was actually home and at church with us for the first time!  God is so good!

We spent the rest of the day hunting Easter eggs, playing games, and celebrating my birthday and my niece, Alisha's birthday.  It was an awesome weekend with great memories made.

Cute story - Caleb would run with his basket and the eggs would be falling out as he ran.  When he turned around and saw all the eggs he got so excited thinking that he had found more eggs and he would run and pick them up!  So precious!
