Oh glorious day!

"Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it." Mark 10:14-15

Yesterday, was a big day at our house. Hunter was baptized at church by Gary. He had been talking about being baptized for awhile but we wanted to make sure he understood the decision that he was making. About 2 weeks ago, Hunter approached me and asked again about being baptized. We talked for awhile and I knew he was ready but I told him he had to talk to his dad about it too. When Gary got home that night, he immediately talked to him about it. We both agreed that he was ready. Hunter has loved Jesus for a long time and being baptized meant so much to him. He was so excited, Sunday morning he was the first child up and ready to go! He even wanted to wear a tie! He had a constant smile on his face all day. He later told me, "it feels so good to be baptized". Gary felt honored that Hunter wanted him to baptize him.

The family after the church service..

We let Hunter decide where we should go after church to celebrate his baptism. He chose Incredible Pizza. After eating, we had fun in the game area. Claire loved the bowling and the big kids loved the go-karts! Nicholas even won the race! What a day of celebration we had!

Hunter like Dad said yesterday, we are so proud of you but you have a father in heaven even more proud of you and the decision you made! We love you!

We are so proud of you Hunter, and I know that you made Jesus smile BIG yesterday! How very special that your daddy got to baptize you. It doesn't get any better than that! The pictures are great too.

Love you guys!

Heaven is throwing a party...I love imagining what heaven must be like when someone gives their heart to Jesus...especially a child!

What a privilege that Gary was able to baptize him!

Many blessings to your family!

Hugs,
Sharla

I am trying to do this for the first time. We were so thrilled to see Hunter's baptism. And so sorry to hear about Marcia. We will be praying for her.

We are all fine. Love, Kay and family

Yippee Jesus Hunter for your act of obedience - we rejoice with you over here in Durango!! And we love that daddy had the privilege...that's exactly how Dw does it too...have parents (if they want) baptize their kids...it's the best!!
