Look what Claire can do!

This girl continues to amaze me!  When we adopted her at age 3 she had no language and now she is saying and signing the alphabet!  What a girl God has blessed us with!
Sorry her face is so dark..trust me she looks adorable!

Thankful Thursday

I have so much to be thankful for this week so let's just jump into what I am thankful for!

~The flu is leaving our house!  Caleb and Claire are on the road to recovery.  The fevers are gone and they are starting to sleep better, which really makes me happy!

Here are the little sweeties watching TV from Mommy and Daddy's bed!

~We finally celebrated Nicholas' 14th birthday at HuHot!  It requires driving to another state to do this!
Nicholas and his friend, Ryan!
Caleb, Brianna, and Gary

When did Nicholas start looking like a teenager instead of a boy?
More Eagles stuff!
You can't go wrong with this recipe!  Check out the name!

~Claire is really enjoying cheerleading.  It amazes me how she learns the cheers and actions despite her hearing loss!
Check out this video.  Watch her cartwheels at the beginning..I think she could have kept going! So cute!

~Finally, I am thankful for the sweetest little boy that turned 1 year old today!  Happy birthday, Noah!  We love you!

How do you celebrate 11 months together?

This week we celebrated 11 months with Caleb!  How did we choose to celebrate you ask?

Well, with a lot of.....
 snuggling
temperature taking
nose wiping and
motrin giving!

And, with the ultimate in celebrating style....
6 hours in the ER together.

Yep, our poor guy is sick.  He has influenza b and an urinary tract infection.  You know that pound I was so excited he had gained?  Well, back to trying to get him to gain it again.

You know what I thought about as we snuggled in the ER?  I thought about how this time when he is so sick he has a mommy and daddy who love him and will comfort him.  He has a mommy and daddy that he can sleep with when his fever gets to 105.3 (and yes it did get that high).  He has siblings that care and want to help him feel better.  He has a family!  Our family!  We are the lucky ones!

I even managed to get a smile out of him while we waited in the ER.  When the fever is down he does pretty good..if it would just stay down!
